In short

fakellm sets no cookies, stores nothing in your browser, uses no analytics or tracking services and loads no content from third-party servers. Even the fonts are hosted on this server. Your chat input

fakellm's answers are generated by a script (JavaScript) that is loaded once when you open the page and then runs entirely in your browser. Your input is not sent to this server or to any third party, is not logged and is not stored – neither in cookies nor in browser storage. As soon as you reload or close the page, the chat is gone.

This applies to fakellm itself. Extensions installed in your browser may be able to read page content; that is beyond our control. So – here as everywhere – please don't type real passwords or other confidential data into chat windows. fakellm will remind you.

Server logs

With every request, the web server automatically processes the following data: IP address, date and time, requested address, amount of data transferred, status code, referrer (the previously visited page) and browser identification. Your chat input is not part of this.

Purpose: delivering the site, troubleshooting and defending against attacks.

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. The legitimate interest lies in the secure and uninterrupted operation of the website.

Retention: Logs are deleted automatically after 14 days. If individual entries are needed to investigate an attack, they are kept until the investigation is complete.

Hosting: The server is operated by a hosting provider based in the EU, with whom a data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR is in place. Beyond that, data is not passed on to third parties and is not transferred to countries outside the EU.

Your rights

You have the right of access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18) and to object to processing (Art. 21). To exercise them, please contact the email address above.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, for example the State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information of Baden-Württemberg (LfDI Baden-Württemberg).
